Macao, March 17, 2022 – Protechting 5.0 is an acceleration program supported by 10 international subsidiaries of the group. Looking for innovation for insurance and health, Fidelidade gives priority to projects focused on Sustainability.

The 5th edition of Protechting, the Fidelidade group's program to attract and accelerate innovative startups focused on Insurtech (insurance) and Healthtech (health) areas is more international this year.

As a result of the four previous editions, the innovation program contributed to develop more than 50 pilot projects and 5 commercial agreements. “With the launch of Protechting 5.0, we consolidate the benchmark of our program for attracting and accelerating start-ups and our commitment to innovation, in what will be the most international edition ever, as it will have the involvement of partners from various geographies where the Group Fidelidade is present,” explains Rogério Campos Henriques, CEO of Fidelidade.

In addition to the main partners Fidelidade, Fosun and Luz Saúde, this edition will include Fidelidade in Angola, Alianza in Bolivia, Garantia in Cape Verde, FID Seguros in Chile, Fidelidade France in France, Fidelidade Macau in Macao, Fidelidade Ímpar in Mozambique, Alianza Garantia in Paraguay, La Positiva Seguros in Peru and Fidelidade España in Spain.
In 2022 the initiative makes a strong bet on solutions linked to Sustainability, stresses the insurance group. “In addition to the commitment to open innovation, we will have sustainability as our main focus, with the opportunity to attract to Fidelidade, start-ups from all over the world that apply for the program with innovative sustainability solutions, applied to the Insurance business and Health,” reinforces Fidelidade's CEO.

Registration is now open until April 17 on the program's website, which, in the initial phase, will select a shortlist of projects with potential, towards an Innovation Match Day – in which startups will connect with companies and are directed to the development of pilot projects. Then, for four months, they will be accompanied until the Demo Day, a meeting in which the status of the projects, and their potential impacts on business and society, are presented to partners and the innovation community.
